Helping you work through COVID-19
Over the last few weeks, we have taken several steps to enhance the ways you can connect and share with parents. The system has become more relevant than ever during this time, adding value and engaging all staff, parents and children alike.
The eyLog parent portal and staff management features play an extremely vital role in enabling this. Our mobile parent app is top-rated on both Apple and Android stores and can be used to communicate with parents throughout this time, continuing a strong parent and nursery partnership; while the staff module can be used to manage staff scheduling, furlough hours and communication.
We have also listened to your feedback following our recent survey and have prioritised the following new features to assist you in supporting your families remotely:
Resources/Documents – To help everyone work and learn from home we have added the resources and documents feature to the eyLog system as well as the dedicated eyLog parent app. You can upload resources and documents including photos, videos and URL links, assign these to a room/group and share for parents to view at home. Furlough Activity – To help you mark staff on furlough, we have added a new activity pay type called Furlough. Create a new schedule or update existing staff schedules by selecting the activity as Furlough; this will then be highlighted throughout the schedule. Both the Staff Scheduling Report and Staff Hours Report – Sage have been updated to automatically calculate the paid hours as 80% of the furlough hours. Watch Video
Staff Hours Letters – We have added a Staff Hours Letter feature that can be automatically sent out on the day of your choosing to all/selective staff detailing their schedules for the previous, current and/or next week. We hope this will be especially useful for informing staff when they are on furlough and when they are expected to be at work. Video Coming Soon

Our Response Plan
Even though many of your childcare settings may now be closed, we want to reassure you that our systems will remain available to you and parents and all your data is safe and secure with us.
We have a robust business continuity plan in place and whilst our staff are working remotely we will continue to be here for you. We expect all services to continue as normal with the following exceptions:
- We will not be conducting onsite training until further notice. Online training is still available upon request.
- We will not be taking any new tablet orders or repairs at this time.
- There may be some delay in the processing times for eyLog Memories orders, apart from download links. We are also unable to offer USB sticks as an option at this time. A pop-up message has been added on the parent app to inform parents of potential delay prior to ordering.
- We have postponed plans for our eyLog Customer Day 2020.
While this is not ideal, we have every confidence in our systems and our strong, dedicated team.
